Over 8,000 dwellings purchased within First Home governmental programme in Moldova

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 8,073 dwellings have been purchased within the First Home governmental programme so far. The overall sum of loans provided by banks is of 4.42 billion lei and the total value of the active guarantees is of 2.1 billion lei.

According to data by the Finance Ministry, 5,541 out of the 8,073 beneficiaries are families and 2,532 – young unmarried people. The average age of the applicants is of 31.5 years.

The average value of the dwellings bought is of 640.45 thousand lei.

A number of 7,531 dwellings are placed in urban areas and 542 – in rural ones. As many as 7,313 dwellings purchased are apartments and 760 – private houses.

Any citizen of Moldova with ages between 18 and 50 years, who is officially employed at a state institution or private company from Moldova and has incomes from official sources, can be beneficiary of the First Home governmental programme. The share of the own initial participation is 5 per cent of the dwelling’s purchasing price.
