Moldovan foreign affairs minister hosts video-conference of heads of diplomatic missions abroad with Interior Minister

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has launched a platform of communication and interaction between the Moldovan government’s members and the heads of the diplomatic and consular missions of Moldova from abroad, in order to more efficiently coordinate the sectoral actions and deepen the cooperation according to the priorities established by the competent ministries.
According to the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service, in the beginning of the meeting, the state secretary, Veaceslav Dobanda, said that this initiative, held following the proposals formulated at the meeting of Moldova’s diplomacy, had been launched in order to strengthen the national diplomacy’s capacity to meet quickly and in coordinated way the needs of the national institutions.
At the video-conference, Interior Minister Ana Revenco referred to the management of the flows of refugees as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine, requests for asylum, the authorities’ sustained efforts to ensure the security of the borders and the public order. The officials exchanged opinions on ways of identifying new aspects of cooperation in the interior affairs sector bilaterally, regionally and multilaterally.
