Chisinau, Oct. 6 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu started her visit to Prague with a very warm meeting attended by several Moldovans who live, work or study in the Czech Republic. The event was hosted yesterday evening by the Embassy of our country in the Czech capital, the presidential press service has reported.
Although they have different activities - they are students and professors, journalists and artists, employees in IT, banking or industry sectors - they are all connected to the realities at home and despite the difficulties they want to contribute to the prosperity of Moldova.
"We thanked them for support and taking the time to discuss how things are going in their homeland," said Maia Sandu. The head of state urged those present to become ambassadors of our European integration, promoting Moldova through their talent and talking to Europeans about our country. "I also told them that, wherever they are, they are always welcome at home," said Maia Sandu.
During the meeting at the Embassy, the president met again with fine artist Teodor Buzu, residing for several years in the Czech Republic. The head of state thanked him for the work he offered her and invited him to come back with new creative projects in Moldova.
