Construction works of aqueduct, sewerage network completed in Calarasi

Chisinau, Oct. 6 /MOLDPRES/- The project improving water supply and sewerage services in Călărași has been completed.

According to the Center Regional Development Agency (ADR), the value of the works received is 32.5 million lei (over 1.6 million euros).

"In Călăraşi, works were carried out to extend and rehabilitate 15.85 km of water pipes (including 875 connections) and the extension of the sewage network with gravity drainage with a length of 4.9 km (including 234 connections to the sewage network ). Also here, a chlorination/disinfection station was built, and the local authorities propose as an objective the regionalization of water supply and sewage services in this area", ADR Center said.

The project is financed by the European Union in cooperation with the project Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova, which is implemented by the German International Cooperation Agency in partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
