Special post stamp on 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Moldova and China put into circulation at Moldova's Foreign Affairs Ministry

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu, along with Ambassador of China Yan Wenbin and the acting manager of Posta Moldovei (Moldova’s Post) enterprise, Roman Cojuhari, during an event on the launch of an anniversary envelope, continued the tradition of marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations with Moldova’s partners. At the same time, a topic-related exhibition of graphic works by children from both countries was opened at the headquarters of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), the MAEIE’s press service has reported.
„Despite the big geographical distance between our countries, China is an important commercial partner and the principal market from Asia for the Moldovan wine. I am happy to find out that, each year, we export almost nine million bottles of Moldovan wine and we want this figure to grow even more,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said.
At the event, the Moldovan official voiced hope that, in the years to come, investors and tourists from China would discover the economic and tourist potential of Moldova, for the benefit of both nations.
„We appreciate also the support of the Chinese people for the bilateral projects provided through the official development assistance, including numerous assistance projects which were useful for the national institutions: equipment for the customs service, equipment for domestic security and street supervision for the Interior Ministry, donations of consumables and technology, vaccines in the pandemic crisis, support in the fight with the pandemic and in the context of refugees’ crisis, triggered by the war and the unjustified Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and certainly, the most recent and valuable contribution – the Photovoltaic Park from Criuleni, which becomes also the most important one, in the context of the regional energy crisis which hits all countries on the European continent, caused by the war,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu added.
