Moldova wins 12 medals at World Karate Shotokan Championships

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - Sportspeople from Moldova have got two gold medals, six silver ones and four bronze medals at the World Karate Shotokan Championships, the 2022 issue, for seniors and juniors, held in the Karlovy-Vary town on 30 September – 2 October.
According to the Education and Research Ministry (MEC), Vitalii Spinu gold a golden medal at the weight category of 80 kg plus.
At the same time, Anastasia Spinu won two silver medals at the weight category of 58 kg. Vasilii Dovzii got one silver and one bronze medal at the weight category of 80 kg. Daniel Mutelica got a silver medal at the weight category of 70 kg.
Also, sportsman Mihai Volontir won one silver and one bronze medal at events for youth, at the age category of 70 kg.
The participation in this competition was possible with the MEC’s financial support and the sportspeople and coaches will benefit from money prizes provided by the Ministry at the Sports Gala, due to be traditionally held in the end of this year.
