Chisinau, Oct. 7 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu participated yesterday in Prague (the Czech Republic) jointly with the leaders of 43 other European states and governments in the inauguration of the European Political Community (EPC). An initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, the European Political Community is a platform for discussions and cooperation between countries on the European continent, the presidential press service has reported.
"EPC is not an alternative to the Euro-integration process. It will strengthen the political dialogue between the EU countries and those outside the EU space and will seek quick solutions to common challenges", said Maia Sandu.
Maia Sandu also approached the energy situation in the Republic of Moldova. "We once again sent the message that European states must work together to restore the rules-based international order. We need decisive actions to restore peace in Europe, discourage any attempts at destabilization and strengthen security on the continent", the head of state said.
