Moldovan president meets PM of Iceland

Chisinau, Oct. 7 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu had a meeting with Prime Minister of Iceland Katrín Jakobsdóttir in Prague (the Czech Republic) on 6 October. The discussion focused on the prospects for the development of political dialogue between the countries and cooperation in many sectors.
Acording to the presidential press service, the head of state pointed out the importance of the signing by the Republic of Moldova of the Free Trade Agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), of which Iceland is also a part, a fact that will boost trade exchanges between the countries.
Maia Sandu was in Prague to participate jointly with the leaders of 43 other states and governments in Europe in the inauguration of the European Political Community (EPC), a platform for discussions and cooperation between countries on the European continent.
