Moldovans to travel visa-free to Qatar

Chisinau, Oct. 7 /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the Law on ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and that of the State of Qatar on the abolition of short-stay visas were published in the Official Journal today.

Thus, holders of ordinary passports will be able to enter, transit or be in the territory of Qatar or Moldova for a period of up to 90 days, within 180 days. The condition is that the purpose of the stay is tourism, transit or business interest. People who plan to go beyond this deadline will need to obtain a long-stay visa.

So far, Moldova has signed 13 bilateral agreements with Qatar, which cover mutual travel for holders of diplomatic and special passports.
