Moldovan, German officials broach Transnistrian issue

Chisinau, Oct. 7 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian today met Margret Uebber, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Moldova, the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.

The officials welcomed the excellent level of bilateral relations between the two states, highlighting Germany's strong support for the rule of law, democratic values, as well as for the implementation of the assumed reforms and the socio-economic development of Moldova.

Also, the sides exchanged views on the developments in the Transnistrian regulation process. Thus, Oleg Serebrian informed that the situation in the region is stable, and the Chisinau authorities continue to improve the living conditions of citizens on both banks of the Dniester through negotiation platforms.

During the talks, there was an exchange of views on the current security context, especially the regional one in relation to the war in the neighboring country, Ukraine.
