Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Material Reserves Agency of the Interior Ministry (MAI) will release from state reserves 8,000 tons of crude oil to the Termoelectrica stock company. The Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) today took a decision to this end, in order to optimize the consumption of natural gas, given that the volumes supplied by the Gazprom giant were decreased, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The crude oil will be used for producing electric and thermal energy. At the same time, at the updating/adjusting of the tariffs for 2022, the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) will accept a sum of 236, 993.8 thousand lei as equivalent value of the crude oil used, the equivalent value of the cost of natural gas replaced on the concerned period by the stock company Termoelectrica for the production of electric energy and thermal energy.
The CSE members also ruled that, during the emergency state, ANRE would not issue licences for the trading and supply of natural gas, the trading being the sale of gas to other re-sellers, without supply to the end consumers.
Another decision deals with the change of the list of objects due to be connected to the centralized heating supply system in the Balti municipality.
