Moldovan sportsman wins bronze medal at Judo World Championships

Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/ - The National Olympic and Sports Committee of Moldova (CNOS) today informed that judo player Denis Vieru had won a bronze medal at the Judo World Championships in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), after he had defeated a Georgian sportsman Vazha Margvelashvili at the last match.
According to CNOS, Vieru was stopped on its way to gold medal by one of the two Japanese judoka, who plays at the weight category of 66 kg – Hifumi Abe, who will play against his fellow countryman, Joshiro Maruyama in his last match.
