Moldova team won several medals at WAKO Kickboxing World Championship

Chisinau, Oct. 9 /MOLDPRES/- The team of the Theoretical High School with Sports Profile (LTPS) No 2 from Chisinau had a successful performance, as part of the selected Republic of Moldova at the WAKO World Championship among Children, Cadets and Juniors -2022, which took place in the city of Jesolo, Italy on 30 September -9 October.
The team, consisting of seven athletes, managed to win four medals in different events. "Eduardo Cincilei becomes world vice-champion in the Full-contact discipline, Younger Junior -51 kg and wins the silver medal for the Republic of Moldova. He managed to defeat the athletes from Azerbaijan and Jordan, and in the final he lost to the opponent from Turkey. Patric Petranici becomes world vice-champion in the K-1 Rules, Older Junior -86 kg, and wins silver for the Republic of Moldova. He managed to defeat the opponent from Turkey and reached the final, where he lost to the athlete from Serbia", announced the institution.
Also, Ioan Casco won the bronze in the Kicklight, Older Cadet - 47 kg, managing to defeat the athletes from Ukraine and South Africa, and in the semi-final he lost to the opponent from Italy who later became the world champion in this category, and Evelina Bojoc won bronze in the Kicklight discipline, Juniors -65 kg. She managed to defeat her opponent from Turkey and qualified for the semi-final, where she lost to athletes from Greece.
The competition in Italy brought together over three thousand athletes from 63 countries of the world.
