Sangerei to be modernized through infrastructure development

Chisinau, Oct. 11 /MOLDPRES/- The modernization works through the development of the infrastructure of Sângerei city have reached the completion level and are to be assessed by a reception committee during November. The project is carried out as part of an urban revitalization program, implemented by the Regional Development Agency (ADR) North from the sources of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).

The urban revitalization works within the project started this May and are being carried out by two companies, and the value of the contracts is 14.72 million lei (about 750 thousand euros), from the FNDRL sources, the Sangerei city hall contribution is 10%.

This year, from the FNDRL sources, ADR Nord is implementing three new urban revitalization projects in the north of the country. One of them is the Sângerei - the city of territorial inclusion project, submitted by the Sângerei city hall within the call for the selection of regional development projects for 2021-2023. According to the Northern Regional Operational Program for 2022-2024, such projects aim to strengthen the role and functions of cities in increasing the competitiveness of the region.
