Moldovan, Egyptian officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, Oct. 12 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration had a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Kamal Madbouly. Popescu appreciated the Egyptian official's interest in the concrete possibilities of deepening the political-diplomatic dialogue at all levels as well as in supporting and boosting economic exchanges between the countries, the MAEIE press service has reported.

In this context, Mostafa Kamal Madbouly welcomed the organization, on the sidelines of the visit, of the business forum, an event that reflects mutual interest in trade and investment opportunities. Thanks were also sent to the Republic of Moldova for support in facilitating the safe evacuation of Egyptian citizens from Ukraine.

"We exchanged views on EU-Egypt cooperation and current developments in regional files," said the Moldovan official.
