Moldova to have access to European car registration system

Chisinau, Oct. 12 /MOLDPRES/- The Republic of Moldova will have access to the European car and driving license information system (EUCARIS). The members of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration approved today the report for the draft law that provides for the accession to the EUCARIS Treaty.

EUCARIS is a common data and information exchange system for vehicles and driving licences, currently accessed by 34 countries. Thus, the Republic of Moldova will benefit from support in the prevention, investigation and prosecution of illegal acts in the field of driving licenses, vehicle registration and other frauds.

The draft law for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to this treaty is to be proposed for examination in the first reading in the plenary of the Parliament.
