Perinatal centre from Balti city of Moldova to be endowed with modern equipment

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - Last generation medical equipment worth 500,000 dollars on 12 October was donated to the perinatal centre of the Clinical Hospital from the Balti city. The modern medical equipment was purchased by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with the financial support of the U.S. Government.
„The rooms of the perinatal centre – operation room, birthing room, post-operation room, etc. were endowed with medical devices, fetal heart rate monitors, surgical aspirators, sterilizers, units of electro-surgery, neo-natal ventilators. Also, the centre was endowed with medical furniture: beds, cupboards, tables, etc.,’’ the Health Ministry said.
Due to the equipment received, quality medical services are provided to women from Moldova and those who took refuge from Ukraine at this centre. The Balti-based perinatal centre was inaugurated with the financial support of the Health Ministry.
UNFPA will endow nine medical institutions of Moldova with advanced medical equipment, with the support of the American government.
