Moldovan foreign affairs minister to pay working visit to Luxembourg, Brussels

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu on 13-14 October will pay a working visit to Luxembourg and Brussels, in order to promote Moldova’s European integration agenda.

The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported that Minister Nicu Popescu today would meet his Luxembourg counterpart Jean Asselborn, with whom he will discuss the bilateral cooperation agenda, European integration and the process of reforms of Moldova, as well as the regional situation, in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine. Also in Luxembourg, the Moldovan official will have a meeting with President of the Chamber of Deputies Fernand Etgen.

In Brussels on 14 October, the Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, will have a discussion with Commission’s Vice President, European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell. At the same time, Popescu will tackle the EU accession agenda with other officials of the Council, Commission and European External Action Service of the European Union.
