ANSA found violations following checks at pharmacies, veterinary pharmaceutical warehouses

Chisinau, Oct. 18 /MOLDPRES/- Inspectors of the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) found several violations following the checks conducted at pharmacies and veterinary pharmaceutical warehouses.
According to ANSA, it is about the wholesale distribution/retail sale of preparations not registered in the State Register of Veterinary Medicines, the sale of vaccines in veterinary pharmacies, the lack of records regarding the internal circuit of medicines, the lack of records regarding compliance with the temperature regime and non-compliant marking of the products.
Following the violations, the inspectors issued prescriptions and applied the ban on the sale of veterinary drugs not registered in the State Register and their withdrawal from the market. At the same time, fines worth about 102 thousand lei (approximately 5,100 euros) were applied for their sale.
ANSA urges animal owners, veterinarians and veterinary pharmacies not to purchase unregistered veterinary drugs, and in case of possession, to return them urgently to the distributor.
