Sewerage system from south Moldova town to be extended

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/ - The works within the programme on infrastructure, which sees the extension of the sewerage system, have started in the southern Cimislia town. The project is to be finished in next autumn.
According to the South Regional Development Agency (ADR Sud), the project started in September 2022 and for the moment accounts for 20 per cent of the overall value of the works contracted.
Within the concerned project, the present town sewerage network is scheduled to be extended by 20.1 km and a station of pumping residual waters is to be constructed.
The project titled, Extension of the sewerage system of the Cimislia town, has a total value of 36.7 million lei (1.8 million euros), of which 32.7 million lei is allocated from the National Fund of Regional and Local Development and four million lei represents the contribution of the local authority.
The construction works are to be finished in November 2023. ‘’As a result of the investment made, over 5,000 residents of the Cimislia town and 277 enterprises, public institutions and economic agents will be connected to a modern sewerage system and will get sustainable access to quality public utilities,’’ ADR Sud said.
