Sergiu Știrbu's candidacy to be proposed for position of member of Court of Accounts

Chisinau, Oct. 19 /MOLDPRES/- The parliamentary committee for the control of public finances will propose to the plenary session of the Legislature the approval of Sergiu Știrbu's candidacy for the position of member of the Court of Accounts.

Sergiu Știrbu was named the winner of the public competition.

At the same time, the Public Finance Control Commission found the termination of the mandate of the member of the Court of Accounts, held by Marina Covali, in connection with the expiration of the term for which she was appointed.

In accordance with the Law on the organization and operation of the Court of Accounts, the members of the institution are appointed by the Parliament with the vote of the majority of the elected deputies, for a term of five years, upon the proposal of the president of the Court of Accounts.
