Moldovan PM visits foreign capital company Lear Corporation from Ungheni city

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, immediately after the cabinet meeting, held in the western Ungheni city, went to the foreign capital firm, Lear Corporation, a resident of the settlement’s Free Economic Zone, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The company was founded in Ungheni by an American investor 12 years ago. The platform stretches on an area of over 18,000 square metres and owns several working pavilions where wiring, sets for chairs, leather accessories, etc. are produced. Moreover, at the enterprise, there is also a workshop for training young people willing to work in this sector.
The prime minister discussed with the company’s administration and made a tour of the halls where thousands of people daily work. Natalia Gavrilita welcomed the decision taken by the investor two years ago to extend the production and to employ refugees as well.
„Due to investments of this kind, Moldova’s settlements develop and our citizens are encouraged to remain at home. Along with the entire cabinet of ministers and the agencies subordinated to the government, we take sustained efforts for such examples to be replicated nationally and each point on the country’s map should became attractive for foreign investors and companies,’’ the PM added.
