Policemen document over 3,200 contravention in road traffic in Moldova in last week-end

Chisinau, 31 October /MOLDPRES/ - Law-enforcers documented over 3,200 contraventions in the road traffic in the last week-end.

According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), eight drivers were detected as driving drunk and were removed from driving.

At the same time, 1,253 drivers exceeded the speed limit and 468 were fined for the failure to observe road signs. Also, 448 drivers were sanctioned for the non-coupling the safety belt.

Also, 58 drivers were documented, after they had infringed rules of stopping and did not give priority to pedestrians. At the same time, 48 people were sanctioned for the crossing of streets in banned places.

Law-enforcers fined 228 drivers for the violation of the rules of registration or state registration, of vehicles’ technical revision.

On the last days-off, policemen intervened in 209 cases after calls to the 112 Single Service.
