Moldovan, Estonian officials broach current situation

Chisinau, Nov. 1 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting with Ambassador of Estonia to Moldova, with residence in Bucharest Ingrid Kressel Vinciguerra, the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.
The officials reviewed the most important issues on the Transnistrian case, the current situation in negotiations in the eastern districts of the country, presentation of the constructive efforts and positive actions promoted by the Moldovan government in relation to the inhabitants of the Security Zone and the Transnistrian region.
They approached the challenges currently faced in the context of the crises in the regional, energy and economic security, as well as the measures for their best management.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need to attract, together with external partners, increased attention to the alarming situation of human rights in the Transnistrian region in order to intervene with all possible forms of assistance to ensure the protection and guarantees of jurisdiction in accordance with the standards of international law.
