Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/ - The general department for the management of the Moldovan government’s buildings informs that, in late last October, due to the cutting of the current consumption at all governmental institutions, the costs at the payment of monthly invoices for electric energy were decreased by 23 per cent.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the consumption stood at slightly more than 420,000 KW, against 556,000 KW in October 2021. This means a saving of more than 360,000 lei, if the new tariffs are taking into account.
As regards exclusively the Government Building, the saving was of 30 per cent or more than 40,000 lei.
During the last October, employees from all buildings managed by the government were encouraged to reduce the consumption of electric energy at the working place, including through the disconnection of air conditioners, household electric appliances and technical equipment, as well as the lights in halls and offices, when this is not badly necessary.
