Moldovan president meets Romanian premier

Chisinau, Nov. 2 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met yesterday in Bucharest with Prime Minister of Romania Nicolae Ciucă. The officials approached the situation in the energy sector in the country as a result of the suspension of electricity supply from Ukraine and the reduction of gas supply by Gazprom by 50%.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state thanked for the prompt reaction of the Romanian government to the recent requests for the supply of electricity and voiced hope that Romania will be able to supply larger quantities to cover the growing shortage.
The officials also discussed the ongoing projects, including in the infrastructure, which must contribute to economic growth.
Maia Sandu paid a working visit to Bucharest on Tuesday.
