Chisinau, Nov. 2 /MOLDPRES/- Alternative child care services could be provided under patent. A draft law in this regard was approved today by the Parliamentary Commission for Social Protection, Health and Family.
Thus, two new types of alternative child care activity: individualized care services and family-type care services are set out in the legislation. The activity will be able to be carried out on the basis of the entrepreneur's license.
In this way, the aim is to legalize the activity of a qualified caregiver of children up to three years old. Taking into account the safety of children, additional specific requirements are proposed for the issuance and suspension or withdrawal of the license for the types of activity.
Also, the new framework will provide opportunities for medical and social insurance for carers, by imposing a simple, accessible and attractive tax regime.
The draft amending the Law on entrepreneur's patent was worked out by the MPs in collaboration with UNFPA Moldova, UN Women, UNICEF and GIZ Moldova.
