Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved the allocation by the Public Property Agency (APP) of 800,000 euros from the reserve fund for the external audit of the debts of the Moldovagaz stock company to Gazprom and Factoring Finance, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Under the contract signed with the companies Wikborg Rein Advokatfirma A.S. of Norway and Forensic Risk Alliance & Co. Limited from the United Kingdom on 10 August, the audit will imply the accurate clearing up of the creation of Moldovagaz debt to the Russian giant for the natural gas delivered to the right bank of Dniester on the period starting from 27 August 1991 till 31 October 2021.
In the process of verification, competent people will analyze the way the payments were distributed by Moldovagaz (and the previous enterprises) for the consumption of gas between the consumers from the right and the left banks of Dniester. Also, auditors will focus on the assessment of the assets earlier transmitted to Gazprom as discount (partial) of the debts for the gas delivered to the consumers on the right bank of Dniester and will carry pout, if needed, the re-assessment of these assets. They will also verify the legality of the transfer of the Gazprom debts to Factoring Finance.
The tender book of the audit contract sees the carrying out of the mission in several stages and the payments will be made depending on the results yielded.
