Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet members, at a today’s meeting, approved a notification to a draft law on the programme of reimbursement of the value added tax (VAT) for the enterprises working in the agricultural sector. The draft sees the establishment of the programme on return of VAT to the agricultural producers for covering the debts at the state taxes owned by them, as well as the mechanism of the programme’s implementation, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Beneficiaries of the programme of VAT’s reimbursement will be the economic agents which suffered losses of more than 50 per cent of the agricultural production, in the wake of natural calamities which occurred in 2022 or of the embargo imposed by Russia to the import of vegetal origin production from Moldova.
The VAT’s reimbursement will be made based on an application submitted to the State Fiscal Service and the payments will be made during 25 working days after the date of request. The reimbursement will be provided for the period April 2022 – June 2023 inclusively.
The draft’s goal is to diminish the negative impact of the natural calamities, as well as of the increase in prices on the economic agents from the agriculture and food industry sectors.
