Earthquake in Romania also felt in Moldova

Chisinau, Nov. 3 /MOLDPRES/- An earthquake in Romania was also felt in the Republic of Moldova this morning.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 occurred on Thursday morning, at 6:50 a.m. local time, in the Vrancea seismic zone, according to information published by the Romanian National Institute for Earth Physics Research and Development.
The earthquake was felt in several areas of Romania, including Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine.
According to the Romanian authorities, as a result of the earthquake, for now, no material damage or casualties have been reported.
The strongest earthquake recorded in Romania in the last 30 years had a magnitude of 6.0 and occurred in October 2004. The most recent with a magnitude of over 5.0 occurred in January 2020 and had a magnitude of 5.2 Richter.
