Moldovan PM demands enhanced measures for tightening security of officials

Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, informed that the social profiles of some officials had become target of cyber attacks. The PM asked Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization Iurie Turcanu for undertaking all measures for tightening the security of social media accounts of the cabinet members.
The prime minister dropped hints that the acts of digital piracy, implicitly, fake messages, received by users, had connection with Justice Minister Sergiu Litvinenco, who today will submit the notification on the declaring of the Shop Political Party as unconstitutional to the Constitutional Court.
At same time, the officials urged the residents to be attentive, to be informed only from sure sources, not to fall a prey to manipulation and lies of any kinds.
„We are in complicated times; we are in a hybrid war, which is waged in a multidimensional manner; therefore, we need maximal attention and prudence,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said.
More Telegram accounts belonging to state officials, among whom President Maia Sandu and Infrastructure Minister Andrei Spinu, were broken today. As a result, more forged information was placed on these accounts.
