Moldovan president hands state distinctions to group of teachers

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has handed state distinctions to teachers from different regions of Moldova.

According to the presidential press service, the decree was signed on 5 October 2022, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day and the solemn ceremony took place today. President Maia Sandu expressed gratitude for the dedication with which the teachers do their job and told them about the role they have in the education of generations capable of finding their way about in a future which is hard to be imagined at present.

The head of state stressed that it was important that the entire society understands the value of education and of the teacher. She urged the teachers prizewinners to participate in the dialogue on the transformation of the pedagogical education and on the improvement of the system of teachers’ motivation.
