Socialist faction submitted simple motion against Minister of Justice

Chisinau, Nov. 17 /MOLDPRES/- The faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) submitted today a simple motion against the policies of the Ministry of Justice and Minister Sergiu Litvinenco.

The document was read in plenary by MP Vasile Bolea. He also requested the establishment of a commission of inquiry regarding the holding of contests for several positions.

"The whole society followed those actions regarding the subjugation of the Superior Council of Magistracy. The General Assembly of Judges has not been organized for three years, and the current composition of the CSM does not present its activity report to the judges. In this context, the ministry did not take any action to unblock the situation, and this composition of the CSM should answer before the judges", said Vasile Bolea.

The BCS initiative comes after the publication of alleged conversations of Sergiu Litvinenko on the Telegram account.

According to the Parliament's regulations, the simple motion can be initiated by at least 15 MPs, and its debate will take place on the date set by the standing bureau within 14 days of submission.
