Agrometeorological station in Râșcani district reopened

Chisinau, Nov. 18 /MOLDPRES/- Agrometeorological station in Râșcani district was reopened on November 16, in line with international standards.

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS), the relaunch of the Râşcani station is part of the plan for the development, optimization and modernization of the network of meteorological and agrometeorological observations within the SHS.

The results of meteorological and agrometeorological monitoring, which will be carried out at this station will be used to study the climate and agrometeorological conditions in the territory of the district, including in relation to climate changes. At the same time, the data will contribute to the completion of the National Hydrometeorological Data Fund, according to the cited source.

"The data of the observations made at the Râșcani station will be transmitted to national and local public authorities, the population, business entities, in order to use these data in the decision-making process", said SHS.
