Chisinau, Nov. 23 /MOLDPRES/- Two women's clubs were set up in Causeni and Stefan-Voda districts that meet weekly to spend time together. Refugee and local women meet to support each other, to help each other.
The clubs are a result of the Southern Cooperation Center organization, beneficiary of the Building peace through the resilience of women, organizations and communities project.
Among the common topics discussed are breast cancer prevention with the guidance of a gynecologist, outdoor outings, sessions with psychologists, gratitude exercises, cooking workshops, improvised performances on the prevention of violence against girls and women, yoga sessions, art therapy, and the list of common activities will be expanded in the next period.
The activities of the Southern Cooperation Center team aim at the cohesion between women from the Republic of Moldova and refugees from Ukraine, offering emotional support by organizing various informative and entertainment activities. "Women's communities are real resources, and where there is support, there is progress," say the organizers.
The project Building peace through the resilience of women, organizations and communities is implemented by the Women's Law Center in partnership with the National Coalition Life without Violence with the support of the UN Women and financed by the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund.
