Moldovan deputy premier pays working visit to Istanbul

Chisinau, Dec. 7 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan diplomat Nicu Popescu is on a working visit to Turkey.

According to the MAEIE press service, the official will meet in Istanbul with Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Foreign Minister of Turkey.

The visit aims at strengthening the strategic partnership with Turkey, conducting an exchange of views on the security situation in the region caused by Russia's unjust war against Ukraine, the energy crisis, promoting the priorities of economic diplomacy and official development assistance provided by Turkey through TIKA.

At the same time, Popescu will meet with Ambassador Lazăr Comănescu, Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and Mahmut Asmalı, head of Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association.
