Moldovan government approves programme on prevention, management of emergency situations for 2022-2025

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s resilience to emergency situations will be enhanced and the time of response to the emergency calls will be shortened. To this end, the cabinet of ministers today approved a programme on the prevention and management of the emergency situations for 2022-2025, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The document’s goal is to strengthen the capacities of coordination, awareness, informing and innovating technological transfer, in order to provide the citizens with qualitative services. Its implementation will contribute to the diminution of the impact of the effects triggered by the emergency situations, as well as the development of the national system of residents’ early warning.
At the same time, the programme will ensure the improvement of the training for the prevention of emergency situations, efficient response, recovery, rehabilitation and subsequent reconstruction. Also, decision-makers are to consolidate the capacities of the target group (population, public administration authorities, private, associative and voluntary sector) in the management of the emergency situations, as well as the strengthening of the capacities of the state and mobilization reserves.
This is the third programme out of those six, due to be approved by the government, in order to implement the strategy of development of the interior affairs sector for the 2022-2030 years.
