State to reimburse value added tax for agricultural producers in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The state will reimburse the Value Added Tax (VAT) to the agricultural producers, in order to cover the debts to more types of state taxes. The parliament today adopted a draft law to this end in the second reading.

The document was worked out, in order to diminish the negative impact on the economic agents in the agriculture and food industry sector, caused by the increase in prices for inputs, break of the logistic chains, triggered by Russia’s war in Ukraine, the embargo imposed by Russia on the vegetal production from Moldova.

Thus, the VAT’s reimbursement will be made for the periods April 2022 – June 2023 inclusively. The economic agents working in the agriculture sector and which bore losses of the farming production of more than 50 per cent on an area of at least 50 per cent of all lands, in the wake of the calamities which took place in 2022, fit into the concerned programme.
