Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova (CCI), in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), today launched the digital service ATA-online Card, which can be accessed on CCI’s electronic platform.
The ATA (Association of Motor Carriers) Card is an international customs document, based on which the goods which are in regime of temporary export and transit move freely, according to a simplified customs procedure. In Moldova, the card has been released since 2007, in over 80 countries. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the only institution empowered, under the law, to issue ATA Cards.
The holding of the ATA Card exempts from the need to process the customs declaration and make a financial guarantee for the providing of taxes to the customs body. Most often, the ATA Card is demanded by the companies and people who participate in fairs and exhibitions, art people, theatre collectives, musicians and artists, sportspeople, professionals from various fields, who can move freely with their professional equipment, art works or other assets.
”The Chamber of Commerce and Industry actively implements the strategy for the digital transformation of its services or we today launch a new service aimed at backing the business environment, as well as at facilitating the economic activity in Moldova,’’ CCI President Sergiu Harea said.
