Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - The road fund’s Council held a meeting today. The Council members made a general analysis of the progress made in the processes of construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of the national roads, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Also, the participants in the meeting unveiled the reasons which had led to the delay in the carrying out of some works or those regarding the completion of the works on some road segments. They also referred to the preparation of roads for the cold season, including the identification and use of improved technologies for their maintenance.
According to a report presented by the State Administration of Roads (ASD), till early December, 76.1 per cent of the money allocated for the national public roads for 2022 was assimilated and the sum amounted to 1,810, 899.9 thousands lei. Yet, ASD decision-makers plan an assimilation of about 90 per cent till the end of this year, given that the works carried out in November-December are to be received.
Representatives of the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR) said that 300 km of roads had been rehabilitated and repaired this year, of which 43 km represent newly-built roads. Moreover, more road segments under restoration for several years already were successfully finished with the support of external funds received in 2022.
In the end of the event, the participants in the meeting agreed on reallocating the non-used financial means for certain roads’ maintenance works. The members of the road fund’s council ruled that MIDR instructs the starting of procedures of improving the legislation as regards the regulation of the legal procedures of carrying out public utility and national interest works. Thus, the Council members suggested that the permissive acts or the ones needed for the implementation of the international treaties and agreements should be issued by an authority subordinated to MIDR. At the same time, they pointed out the need to observe the guarantee term stipulated in the construction contract, depending on their intensity and according to the norms provided for in the Practical Codes approved.
