One-off child-birth allowance to be higher in Moldova starting from 1 January 2023

Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/ - The one-off childbirth allowance will be increased by 864 lei starting from 1 January 2023 and will amount to 10,932 lei. The cabinet of ministers approved a decision to this end today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
According to estimations, in 2023, about 34,780 children will benefit from one-off childbirth allowance and financial resources worth 382.5 million lei will be necessary, stipulated in the draft law of the state budget for 2023.
The amendments were made in line with the government’s action programme, in order to promote a comprehensive policy of backing the families with children.
