Energocom company signs new contract on supply of electric energy with company of Romania

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Energocom stock company on 28 December informed that it had signed a new contract on sale-and-purchasing of electric energy for January 2023 with the National Company Nuclearelectrica from Romania, which provides for the acquisition of 10 MWh of uninterrupted delivery at night and 30 MWh of uninterrupted delivery during the day. The price for the energy, under this contract, is of 450 Romanian lei/MWh (about 100 euros).
According to the institution, decision-makers forecast that about 60 per cent of the needed volume of electric energy for consumption on the right bank of Dniester in next January would be provided by the MGRES power plant, about 30 per cent of the electric energy would be generated by the thermal electric power stations and other renewable resources. ‘’Another about 10 per cent of the necessary volume of energy will be purchased from providers of Romania, including in order to cover the deficit of energy in the peak hours,’’ Energocom said.
Under an Instruction by the Commission for Emergency Situations, the Energocom stock company is empowered to buy electric energy for the period January-March 2023.
