Over 3 thousand tons of anti-skid material spread on country's roads

Chisinau, 13 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Over 3,300 tons of anti-skid material was spread last night on the country's roads. Currently, the accessibility of the road infrastructure is ensured in winter conditions on the entire network of national roads. The information was presented by the State Road Administration (ASD).

According to the ASD, in the northern, central and southern regions, patrolling and anti-sled and snow work was carried out.

340 road workers and 161 special machines were involved in the technological process. As a result, 3309.8 tons of anti-skid material were distributed mechanically and another 285 tons - manually. At the same time, 261 tons of salt were spread on the roads.

ASD warns drivers to comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation regarding equipping vehicles with appropriate tires and adapting the speed regime to winter traffic conditions.
