More events dedicated to National Culture Day, national poet's birthday anniversary to be held in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - More cultural actions, organized by diverse institutions, will take place on 15 January, and will be dedicated to the National Culture Day and poet Mihai Eminescu, at his 173rd birthday anniversary.
Thus, on this day, the Mihai Eminescu National Culture Institute, in cooperation with the Mihail Kogalniceanu National Museum of Romanian Literature, and in partnership with the Moldovan Writers’ Union and the B.P. Hasdeu Philology Institute, will organize a string of events. They will start at 10:00 with laying flowers at the bust to poet Mihai Eminescu on the Alley of Classics of the Romanian Literature from the Stefan cel Mare Public Garden of Chisinau.
More personalities of the cultural and academic life of Moldova will take the floor at the event.
Starting from 13:30, a symposium titled, An Eminescu of my generation: 140 years from the editorial debut, will take place at the Kogalniceanu National Museum of Romanian Literature.
On 15 January at 14:00, the Chisinau municipality’s culture department will organize a concert dedicated to the National Culture Day at the Palace of the Republic. Also on next Sunday at 17:00, Anna Strezeva will give an organ recital, with the participation of Vasilii Moscvitin, at the Chisinau-based Organ Hall. An event dedicated to the National Culture Day will be held at the Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre from Balti on 14 January at 14:00.
On 16 January at 11:00, Moldova’s National Library, in cooperation with the National Agency of Archives, will organizes an exhibition of documents titled, Old Travelling Books. It is about old religious books from the 17th-19th centuries, which formerly belonged to libraries of monasteries and churches from Moldova; meanwhile, they became heritage assets and are piously preserved in collections of Moldova’s culture institutions, in this case, in collections of the National Library and National Agency of Archives.
