Painters from Moldova, Romania exhibit works in Bucharest

Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - A painting exhibition which brought together works by fine artists from Moldova and Romania, who participated in a creation camp, Old Orhei, held in Butuceni, Orhei district, in last autumn, was inaugurated at the Calderon Art Studio Gallery of the Mihai Eminescu Centre from Bucharest on 13 January evening, on the occasion of the National Culture Day, annually marked in Moldova and Romania on 15 January. This is a cultural project carried out with the support of Moldova’s Embassy in Romania and the aforementioned Centre.
According to a press release by Moldova's Embassy in Bucharest, The paintings presented at this exhibition re-discover to the public one of the most picturesque places from Moldova – Old Orhei, a real complex of historical monuments on the narrow strait of the Raut river, which provides novel pictures of a spectacular settlement, transposed in pictures with much chromatic refinement.
Attending the festive event, organized by Moldova’s Embassy in Bucharest, in cooperation with the Mihai Eminescu UNESCO Cultural Centre, were Culture Ministers from Moldova and Romania, Sergiu Prodan and Lucian Romascanu, respectively, the Romanian state secretary for the relation with Moldova, Adrian Dupu, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Romanian central and local authorities, association of Bessarabian students.
