Border Police patrol discovers remains of missile in north Moldova district

Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - A Border Police patrol today discovered remains of a missile coming from Russia’s air attacks against Ukraine in the zone of the border segment Larga (northern Briceni district).
According to the Interior Ministry (MAI), following the discovery of the remains of the presumed missile, law-enforcers immediately took the measure of protecting the zone and called the 112 emergency service, as well as the Bombteh teams of the General Police Inspectorate. The Prosecutor’s Office of the Briceni district was informed too. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and the Border Police ensure the perimeter and prepare the assistance for the investigation and verification teams of Bombteh and of the prosecutor’s office.
Because of the bombardment against Ukraine, the Border Police enforced a contingence plan and increased the number of police patrols at the zone of border with Ukraine, with the checking of the air space and the border green belt.
This is the third case when remains coming from bombardments against Ukraine fall on the territory of Moldova.
