Another two persons die of influenza in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Health Ministry today informed that another two persons had died of influenza.  

According to the institution, it is about two men with ages between 54 and 52 years. The latter case regards flurona – a co-infection of the virus which causes flu and of the virus SARS-CoV-2. Both cases were notified at the National Public Health Agency and are under examination.    

Specialists warned that the risk of infection with influenza and other viral respiratory infections can be reduced through the observance of prevention measures, such as: avoiding agglomerations; wearing protection masks, especially in the public transport, other crowded places; observance of the distance between people who have respiratory symptoms; periodical airing of rooms; observing hands’ hygiene, cough and sneeze etiquette; anti-flu vaccination.  

Specialists also recommend that people go to doctor at the appearance of the first symptoms specific to the respiratory infections – fever, cough, sneeze, headache, state of weakness.
