Another two projects from European Village Programme finished in north Moldova

Chisinau, 16 January /MOLDPRES/ - Another two projects within the European Village Programme have been finished in the northern Briceni district. As a result, the gymnasium from the Cotiujeni village was endowed with furniture and the residents from the Larga village have running water. The value of the investments exceeds 2.7 million lei (135,000 euros) – money allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local development (FNDRL).
Thus, through the European Village National Programme, decision-makers purchased more sets of furniture for the gymnasium from the Cotiujeni village. The cost of the project is 1.2 million lei. Following the implementation of this project, better conditions were created for the carrying out of the education process for 217 pupils and 24 teachers.
At the same time, the project on the supply of the current networks with water was finished in the Larga village. The government earmarked 1.5 million lei from FNDRL for this project. So, two water towers, as well as two automated management systems were set in the settlement. Thus, the project ensured access to water for 2,286 households with about 4,000 residents.
According to the National Office of Regional and Local Development (ONDRL), the Briceni district benefits from ten local development projects in all. Their overall value is of 20 million lei.
The European Village National Programme comprises 492 local development projects with a total value of about two billion lei on the period 2022-2023.
