Moldovan PM meets Ialoveni residents

Chisinau, 21 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The government will continue to help people throughout the country cope with the consequences of the crises, and in the next period the authorities will focus on relaunching the economy and developing regional and local infrastructure. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița spoke about the measures taken by the government to support the population and speed up the implementation of reforms at yesterday's meeting with residents of Ialoveni district, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The premier said that although the year 2022 was marked by many challenges, they were overcome thanks to mobilization and solidarity, the ability to react to crises being strengthened: "Internationally, we are known as the country that received the largest number of refugees per capita. We managed a humanitarian crisis together, so we changed the perception of the Republic of Moldova and contributed to international security. We are a country that not only talks about European values, but also implements them".
Also, the official discussed with the residents of the district about the actions of the Executive aimed at supporting the business environment, in particular, of farmers. Thus, exports were reoriented towards other markets, an advantageous fiscal policy was adopted for entrepreneurs.
"We have already managed to put the country on the path of modernization. The most important thing is that last year we became a candidate country for the European Union - this is our path to stability, peace and decent living. Together with you, the citizens of this country, we must continue to make efforts to bring Europe to our home", said Natalia Gavrilița.
In terms of the energy crisis, the Prime Minister emphasized that our country has a sufficient volume of natural gas and capacity to import energy from alternative sources, and through the bill compensation tool, the Government remains with the people. In order to solve other difficulties encountered by citizens, including at the local level, the Executive proposed attracting new investments, implementing some waste management projects, improving the road infrastructure.
Ialoveni residents addressed several issues, including the modification of the financing formula for kindergartens, the lack of teachers in educational institutions in the district, the provision of the social package for veterans, the massive delimitation of land. It was also discussed about the lack of transport between localities, the need to light pedestrian crossings, as well as the energy efficiency projects for buildings.
