Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - The regulation of the work of the business environment, the backing, in continuation, of the sector of small- and medium-sized enterprises, promoting the country’s economic opportunities and the economy’s digitalization are just some of the key goals of the Economics Ministry (ME) for this year. They were included in the government’s Action Plan for 2023, the draft of which was subjected to public consultations today.
During discussions, Economics Minister Dumitru Alaiba said that it was quite important that the authorities help the business environment, through the simplification of the ways of reporting and of the labour relations. In this respect, the ministry initiated a package of regulatory amendments, meant to reduce the bureaucratic barriers and diminish the administrative burden.
„Our role is to help the business people and the economy, in general. Here, I mean quality reforms for the business environment, in order to simplify the existence of the economic agents. For his, the state must make two steps back, in order to provide entrepreneurs with room to develop and the freedom which they do not quite have. For this reason, the small enterprises suffer. Therefore, we expect a quite ambitious agenda of reducing the bureaucracy, of removing all obstacles to entrance, things which are to help de-monopolize some sectors of the economy and enhance the economic competitiveness, in general,’’ Dumitru Alaiba said.
Among the priorities announced by the economic minister, there are also the attraction of foreign investors and giving access to new sources of financing for entrepreneurs.
Representatives of the business environment, civil society, development partners and of other relevant sectors participated in the public consultations on the draft of the National Development Plan for 2023-2025 and the activity plan of the government for 2023 in the economic and entrepreneurship sectors.
